Benjamin Jensen is Group Leader and Associate Professor at the Jensen Group, University of Copenhagen, where he leads translational research at the intersection of gut microbiome science, metabolic health, and nutrition. An experienced lecturer and biotech entrepreneur, he has co-founded university spinout companies and holds several patents within microbiome interventions. With a background in infectious immunology and experimental endocrinology, his work focuses on unraveling host-microbiome interactions and developing innovative strategies for metabolic disease prevention and treatment. Benjamin has published extensively in leading scientific journals and is deeply engaged in collaborative projects that bridge academia and industry, including partnerships with feed manufacturers, biotech startups, major biotechnology firms, and pharmaceutical companies. He is passionate about translating fundamental discoveries into real-world applications that improve human health.
